Corbett Technology Solutions, Inc. (CTSI), a Northern Virginia-based audiovisual and technology systems provider, was faced with an increasingly competitive market. CTSI specializes in providing customized, high-impact pro audio, healthcare communications technologies, networking, education technologies, security and fire protection and corporate audivisual solutions for government and private sector clients. For an advanced tech company, CTSI’s existing website was markedly outdated and not reflective of current capabilities. CTSI leadership tasked trusted partner Borenstein Group with designing and implementing a new, high-impact website that accurately showcased CTSI’s advanced capabilities and illustrated the company’s tagline, “Engage. Inspire. Deliver.”
Borenstein Group designers, strategists and copywriters began by interviewing CTSI management, employees and customers to gain a thorough understanding of the company’s experience and strengths. The Borenstein team then developed a concise and compelling messaging platform, including mission and vision statements, elevator pitch and the “Engage. Inspire. Deliver.” tagline.
Borenstein Group began the web development by creating a site map (wireframe) that positioned the “who, what, where, and why” of CTSI using the clearest, most direct navigation architecture. Borenstein designers crafted a striking home page design. When developed, the home page incorporated the latest advancements in HTML5 and jQuery scripting to create a unique colorized effect where images literally come to life on the screen. The home page incorporates best practices in UI design, and creates an engaging user experience that mirrors the “Engage. Inspire. Deliver.” experience.
Interior pages are equally inspiring. The Portfolio section features a unique, custom-designed gallery player which showcases various CTSI projects. Throughout the site, the copy was crafted to present the maximum information through a minimum amount of text. The result is a compelling read that allows users to become acquainted with CTSI services, without devoting unnecessary time on page. The overall user experience is very high-end and high-tech.
Since the revamped website is a content management system-based design, CTSI internal employees are able to modify and update the site in real-time, as needed. This relieves CTSI staff from the laborious process of HTML coding, and empowers the team to perform maintenance without additional coding knowledge.
